for starters i feel that a pastor has no right to do that legally or biblically. Foe one in the Old Testament only the high priest of a man in authority (ie. Ceassar) could condem anyone to death or kick someone out of the church. However, in the New Testament Jesus tells us "Judge not lest ye be judged" Matthew 7:1. And when he died on the cross he was the sacrifice that the Old Testament called for in order to have your sins forgiven. It was also the Old Testament that posed the laws on marriage and divorce. So the pastor doesn't even have the biblical right to punish any of his parish.
