Biography

Christopher Cross is an active member of “Freedom’s Guardian,” which is composed of both lay and professional men and women across our country who are firmly committed to the lawful bolstering of civil rights and civil liberties through political avocations, judicial actions when necessary and public education efforts.

Christopher has worked in the criminal justice field for fifteen years as an Investigator and in this has studied Constitutional law in both its criminal and civil applications, extensively.

In an effort to broaden his professional investigative skills and know-how, Christopher attended and graduated Nursing College in 1991 to help victims in th areas of civil rights and liberties.

Christopher has a long history of being active in serving his community needs in such ways as being a Health & Safety Instructor for the American Red Cross, working with those afflicted with developmental disabilities, engaging in various civil rights and civil liberty avocations and volunteering as a Co-Coordinator and Counselor to help the GLBT community in addressing the psychological needs of those people seeking counseling services.

Christopher is a published author in the fields of criminology and mental health and has also written various programs in the areas of civilian oversight boards, the D.I.V.E. TEAM ©, supervisory educational training, security officer training and certification, and behavior modification for incarcerated individuals.

Christopher is also the Founder of the “Community Citizenship Month,” which is a citizen political forum that celebrates American citizenship and the positive political contributions citizens have made in our system of checks and balances.

In 2002 Christopher wrote the poem “One Rock At A Time” © that was engraved on a memorial monument and sent, on behalf of the people, to Mayor Bloomberg, New York City in commemoration of both the civilian and emergency personnel efforts to help victims of 9-11. In November 2004, the Managing Editor of External Portraits notified Christopher that his poem was selected to be Internationally recognized by publication (No. P6566604) by the committee of the International Society of Poet’s.

Interests

In 2003, Christopher Cross developed the "Direct Intervention for Victims of Emergencies" (D.I.V.E. TEAM). The design of this program and team was to enable a highly trained and effective citizen response to post-terrorist attacks on a national and statewide base that would permit emergency personnel to be utilized more efficiently and therein save taxpayer money. Christopher won the Citizen Warrior Award for his contribution to the efforts in the War on Terrorism and the protection of U.S. citizens.
